2008 Upland Bird Forecast April

April through June prime pheasant and quail nesting and brood months rainfall has historically shown itself to be a significant indicator of the overall upland bird forecast reproductive enhancing or degrading factor and subsequent fall bird hunt quality.

This rainfall analysis is a relativity scale of the best to worst data across our Kansas, Missouri and Iowa region where Mid-America Hunting Association has self guided private hunting land. For each month we show by color code the high (red), average (yellow) and low (green) rainfall.

The color summation above is drawn from the daily rainfall total where the color red equals greater than 1/2 inch rain, yellow is less than 1/2 and greater than 1/4 inch and green is 1/4 or less daily rainfall.
