Association Quail Hunting History
Bobwhite Quail hunting has a history in Mid-America Hunting Association dating back to 1965. The pictures posted in this section date back to the 60s. More from the 70's and a lot from the 80s through when the digital camera age took hold. We keep them around for their memories sake.
Two small bore hunters that have a lot of clay time.
Most find that good dogs live but few years. Looking back when with gray hair over past dogs always brings back memories of special days. This next dog series of pictures is from an Association hunter that is exclusive to upland birds with 95% of that time on Bobwhite.
These are his dogs.
Another gray haired hunter with a Brittany, Patty, that was famous on the field trail circuit as well as on the field.
Another well known dog now long past is Buck. Those that hunted with him still talk about his quail hunting days. Buck will be seen in several pictures all with limits.
For those that remember developed film paper picture days. A roll would hold 12 pictures, 24 if wanting to spend some money and rarely 36 as that was too costly back then. For us to receive by snail mail one precious paper picture from a hunter was an exceptional event. All the more so now considering digital picture no longer represent the only copy of that picture.
And, some dogs that do not cooperate for the picture. In this case it was time to play, not sit pretty.
