Youth Hunters

First Pheasant

A proud father sent in this photo of his son's first pheasant and a new dog.

This hunt was during the fall of 2001, one of the worst upland seasons in memory for most hunters. For this young hunter this hunt will be one for a lifetime memory.

A subsequent hunt.

The rest of the story behind these photos includes that last season this father & son combo did not have much luck. This year they stuck to it and now this young hunter has had his first successful year. On the day of this photo (above) the young hunter harvested both birds on one day. An accomplishment that last season seemed impossible.

Also a deer hunter, and later success on spring turkey.

All youths on Association family memberships may hunt the youth season as well as the regular season.
