Quail Interests
Hunter Interests | The point to draw from this Missouri Bobwhite Quail habitat picture is just how tough the habitat can be to hunt within and get a shot.
A lot of coveys will survive hunter pressure for years simply due to occupying cover where a shot for the covey flush as well as multiple singles point is simply tough to pull off. The actual text that accompanied this picture and story of the hunt was: "Kim took this one. Great shooting conditions. Think how many members' dogs run past birds like these tucked deep in the brush. She found 2 coveys within a 1/4 mile on the same edge. I saw one covey run off and got one on the second rise. Singles were impossible." |
