About Us

Private Land Hunting

Non-Competitive Private Land

Our self guided quail hunters have a "unit" of lease land reserved for each day's hunt.

Missouri Quail Unit

A sample unit map sheet of more than 3,000 acres.

Within our better bobwhite regions any one map sheet will have half of its acreage in farming. That leaves 1500 acres of this 3000 acre unit example for wildlife habitat. Of that 1500 acres of non-farm ground not all will be for better bobwhite hunts. The habitat within this unit will be more than one day's hunt for any bird hunter party. Where that habitat is we will disclose to the new member to avoid his traveling to the wrong farms for what he is after. It will not take long before each hunter has more covey spots marked on his map sheet than there will be time to hunt. That is one price that only the self guided quail hunter can pay, that is, finding those spots that meet his hunt style and quail dog power.

Each unit has more ground to hunt than any quail hunter can cover in a day. Units are used to distribute pressure. No one unit is hunted consistently and no one hunter is permitted to overly hunt any one unit. The result is a good field day for everyone. This point typifies how we are a business and not a hunting club. Our management is for quality hunts as a means for membership renewal.

Pheasant & Quail

The quail purist that distains pheasants will find that advantage in Missouri over that of Iowa and Kansas quail hunting where the two upland bird populations overlap.

Wild Bobwhites

Continuing through this website using the links at the bottom of each page will give the hunter a good idea of our private land Kansas, Iowa and Missouri quail regions, season, location and habitat. The idea is to remove as much mystery as possible that text and pictures can. In all cases it will come down to putting boots on the ground to see first hand the quail hunt quality we offer.

Missouri Limits

Never will we say that any hunter or group will find a covey on every field or bag a limit on even just one day of their hunt. Willingness to walk, shooting ability and dog power will determine just how good the day will be as every day behind dogs on birds is a good day.

Fair number of coveys and plenty of shooting for TJ that walked in on all the points as dad took the pictures.
