During Season Bobwhite Quail Habitat

Continued sampling of Bobwhite Quail holding habitat as seen during the season.

Bobwhite Quail habitat

This is a north central Kansas typically dry drainage running through a crop field. It runs for a 1/2 mile on a 600 acre piece of a farm composed mostly of grain crop fields, some defunct pasture and patchy wildlife cover habitat. This drainage is thin and can be effectively hunted by one hunter with one dog. It is also an easy walk with the hope for some blue sky quail shots.
