During Season Bobwhite Quail Habitat

Dog friendly, hunter friendly quail habitat. Plenty of ground level cover, crop waste grain and nesting cover to support year to year reproduction.

This type of dry drainage cover runs for miles. While it may hold a covey anywhere along its length it will never have the covey density of a Georgia quail plantation of planted coveys and feeders posted. It does allow for much eyes on dog action and fair shot opportunity.

Such tidbits as this plantation comparison we repeat many times over so as not to oversell just how difficult wild quail hunts are. To the benefit of the hunter is a comment we have heard repeated through the years that goes along the lines as : "...I have hunted elsewhere and been on more birds. But, I'd rather hunt the central mid-west..." A bit of boasting for sure, but nonetheless a good qualifier for the hunters we attract and that have the most enjoyment during the season. Those that simply want bird in the bag counts should seek hunts elsewhere than with us.
